What Is Life?

What's life?

Why the pain?

Why the sad?

But then again,

Why the smiles?

Why the love?

Why anything?

What would happen,

If we weren't here?

Who would love the lost?

Who would heal the hurt?

Would would miss the loved?

Is it better to live another day,

To see the good we will miss?

Or to die today,

And not see the hurt of tomorrow?

What is the answer?

Will we ever know?
